I was fortunate to attend the Scottsdale Artist School last month. It was a week long workshop taught by Eugene Daub on the subject of relief sculpture. He would demonstrate each morning and the rest of each day was spent working from life on our own relief sculpture. Eugene was a wonderful teacher who gave a lot of helpful instruction and many useful critiques. It was an excellent experience and I can't wait to return and take another course. Below are the five reliefs that I created during the class.

Emma's Garden
Bouncin'
This is a "work in progress" photo of a project I am doing for a family in California. They are commissioning me to create sculptures of their two daughter's to be placed in their garden. This piece is depicted after their oldest daughter. For their younger daughter, we will be using the sculpture "Emma's Garden" and resculpting the head to be their daughters portrait.
The piece is still fairly rough but it is starting to come to life!
